Malc has always had a deep rooted passion for singing, and enjoyed many a night at karaoke and open mic events over the years. The Portsmouth based entertainer even won an X FACTOR style competition whilst holidaying in Cape Verde. Over the years he has shrugged off compliments from the public and friends, saying he should turn professional, but never took it seriously, until one summer afternoon in 2017 when a friend and fellow performer Phil, TOLD him that they were going to do a rat pack show together. Malc remembers the conversation well, but a vocal injury put a hold on proceedings.

Where it all began….

His first solo gig was at his local, The Golden Lion, where again he was TOLD he was performing only 2 months prior. This was the kick that was needed to learn his sets. January 2018 came and a packed Goldie saw him surpass everyone’s expectations. This gave Malc the impetuous to carry the singing forward, and from that point, the journey into professional singing was born. Gigs came in steadily that year, and by 2019 Malc was performing most weeks.

Inspired by music legends…

Early influences were the family’s music including the Beatles, Tom Jones and the Rat Pack. Early inspirations were The Eagles, Elton John and Simply Red, but Malc has a love of most styles and genres and how a song can ignite a memory and alter a mood.
